255 Summer Activities for Kids

Summer Activities for Kids - Swimming

Summer is here, the kids are home, and if you don’t keep them busy they’ll get bored and drive you crazy! So, I’ve compiled a list of cool resources that give you some great ideas on summer activities for kids.

Some of these overlap a little, but you’ll still have lots of ideas to help keep your kids active this summer. In “numerical” order, here they are…

  • 14 Cheap Summer Activities for Kids from Frugal Dad - Two weeks worth of summer activities for kids. I had to get some ideas from a dad!
  • 60 Summer Activities for Kids from Martha Stewart - I have to be honest. I was wondering how good a Martha Stewart list of Summer Kids Activities would be. Now, this list is quite ambitious. It’s not as “simple” as some of the others, but it does have great pictures, interesting ideas, and lots of resources mixed into the suggestions. It’s really great for creative and artsy types.
  • 80 Inexpensive of Free Summer Activities for Kids - Interesting list separated into places you can go, things you can make, games you can play, and things you can do.
  • 101 Kids Summer Activities - A list this long sounds quite boring, but this list is actually very cute and colorful with lots of pictures. Plus it had a lot of cool ideas that reminded me of my childhood. So fun!

Thank you so much for sharing my list of 80 Summer Activities for Kids here on your site!

  2. Stacie my kids are now college aged, and have their own ideas for how they’d like to spend the summer. But I STILL like to have ideas I can suggest to them (mostly I just want them to continue joining us on family picnics, etc.). I’m naturally drawn to these posts because I miss those days of spending the days with the kids and taking them swimming in the summer. I love your picture – your kids are having a ball! I also love the scenery in your background. Breathtaking!

    Thanks for sharing!

After all the priming was done we applied one coat of Olympic’s Zero-voc, white, latex
    paint in semigloss.
